Bri serves as Director of Spectrum in the Center for Diversity and Inclusion. In their role as Director, Spectrum, they play a key role in the development, advocacy, and growth of LGBTQIA+ programs. With an emphasis on initiatives that prioritize identity development and a sense of belonging for students.
Before coming to WashU, Bri served as Associate Director of Multicultural Student Affairs at the University of South Carolina where she managed the Safe Zone Allyship Program and developed inclusive programming opportunities for the campus and local community to engage with LGBTQIA+ culture. Bri was deeply involved in academic service serving as a Staff Senator, co-lead of the LGBTQ Faculty/Staff Caucus, and member of both the SEED team (Safely Engaging in Expression Delegates) and the Basic Needs Committee. Bri holds two degrees in Psychology (bachelors and masters) and has been studying disability and queerness through their doctoral work. Outside of professional life, Bri is a proud first generation college student, obsessive dog mom, connoisseur of the perfect coffee brew, and is convinced that being southern is her superpower.
