Mission

Our mission is to make Washington University in St. Louis a welcoming environment for all gender identities and orientations, including LGBTQIA+ students. At its core, the Spectrum Office aims to create a community where every student feels valued, heard and empowered to thrive.

Vision

We strive to:

Provide Resources: Offer resources, services, and support that are available to all students and responsive to the needs and experiences of LGBTQIA+ students.
Educate: Facilitate education programs, student-centered workshops, and events to increase awareness and understanding of gender identities, orientations, and issues facing the LGBTQIA+ community.
Foster Connection and Collaboration: Create opportunities for social connection, community building, and networking among all students, faculty, and staff interested in LGBTQIA+ issues.

Through these efforts, the Spectrum Office aims to contribute to the overall well-being and success of students of all gender identities and orientations, including LGBTQIA+ students, at WashU and to promote a campus community where everyone can thrive authentically.
